Paul is the founder and Pastor of Stockport Evangelical Church. A Christian for over thirty-five years, Paul has studied modules in OT survey, through Nantwich Bible College and New Testament Greek, through Midlands Bible College. He has preached the Gospel throughout the UK, in places as diverse as Tavistock, Lancaster, Manchester, Conwy, Bristol, Macclesfield, Carlisle, Chester and can be seen most weekends preaching in Stockport Town Centre. He has a particular interest in the works of John Wesley and William Tyndale and has read extensively from their writings.

Paul is married to Kirsty and they have five children, whom they Home Educate.

Matthew holds holds the position of Elder in the church. He is an ex-JW, who was saved out of that organisation into Christ. He worked for six years at the Watchtower’s London HQ, “Bethel” and he now actively helps others that want to leave. He has a particular interest in Systematic Theology and runs a monthly School of Theology class.

Matthew is our Child Safety officer, as well as being a full-time Social Worker. He is married with one son.

Carole holds the position of Co-Worker. She liaises between the leadership and the congregation, taking note of any practical needs, or difficulties; she organises lifts to the meetings and has also helped a number of refugees in the area to access Bibles and Gospel literature in their own languages.

Kirsty and Christine run our children’s work, Sunday Club. Sunday Club use the Go Teach Christian Curriculum and features Christian songs, a Bible story and memory verse to learn. Christine is a former Junior School teacher and Kirsty runs Stockport Christian Home Education Group.
